Saplinbrae

In the years since Saplinbrae House was built in 1756 it has been used as a coaching Inn for travellers on the Banff to Peterhead Road, the manse for a nearby Episcopal Chapel, the dower house for the Pitfour Estate and is now a country house hotel. The building incorporates stones which were plundered from Deer Abbey which is near-by.
