Model Village

A grey mainly cloudy day and we headed out late morning to Bourton on the Water.  After a short walk along the riverside we had lunch in a nearby restaurant.  It was pretty busy but then that isn't surprising given its attractiveness and its a Sunday.

After a good lunch we then went into the Model Village which we hadn't visited before as Lucas was in a buggy and it was too wide to pass along the small pathway.  The model village is rather amazing.  Its the only grade II listed model village in the country and is an actual model of Bourton on the Water on a 1/9th scale.  It is built with Cotswold stone with lots of detail on the buildings and grounds.  We spent a lot of time walking back and forth as our grandson examined various things. He had a great time as did we.
