Sgwarnog: In the Field

Fair

Valentine’s Fairs, possibly an invention to help fill the quiet period between New Year and Easter fairs, seem to be a West Yorkshire thing. Perhaps they’re a thing elsewhere too. I really don’t get on with fairs, but I am happy to walk through on my way through Leeds to the station, and where else will you encounter a shadow of a giant serpent on the street in front of you (extra).

Later, back in Bradford, an evening fixture at Valley Parade saw City secure a 2-0 over visitors Tranmere Rovers - the first time I’d seen them win in five months, and back into play-off contention. And from my seat high in the stands, a view of the Bradford Valentine’s Fair, at Forster Square.
