Hellibore

This is a single white blotched Hellibore growing under a shrub in the garden.  They are related to the buttercup and are poisonous to humans and animals but slugs and snails have been known to eat the flowers.  There are some dark red ones elsewhere in the garden but they are still in tight bud. The pure white ones are known as the Christmas Rose.

Enjoyed a charity quiz night last night, our table of six came 4th out of about 20 tables.  We usually come about 4th from bottom - not quite the wooden spoon!
