Beach nourishment and recycling

The heavy plant is out at Snettisham again. It's an annual process of shifting sand from one section of shoreline to another. It's the 'soft' part of the 'hard and 'soft' strategy to keep the sea at bay. It's also a reminder that this year is the 70th anniversary of the 1953 gale and tidal surge which killed over 60 people in their homes on the short stretch between Snettisham and Hunstanton alone. Let's hope it works.
One for Mono Monday. Thanks for hosting Pinkhairedlady :-)
