Porch work

Today the carpenter finished the underside of the porch. It will need staining to match as this is raw wood, but the result is very neat.

I didn't realise it when I took the picture but there is a swarm of birds that were searching for a roost in the sky. I was leaving to take the dog for his evening walk and they were swarming all over the neighbourhood as I walked to collect the dog. I think they found a nice big tree near my mother-in-law's for the night. The dog wasn't interested - he just wanted to go for a run!
