Can you see me?

When I walk him in the dark I want to be able to see him and for others to see him so they don't hurt him by accident. Dogs have much better low-light vision to humans so he isn't even aware how hard he is to see in the dark. These LED lights are two a penny these days but the main problem is attaching them to him so that they don't flap about and break. At the moment he has a red and a lilac one, and in flash mode they run for quite a few months before the batteries go flat.

When it's really dark you can't see anything but the flash, but when it's only partially dark as in this blip you can see him and the lights, though they don't quite stand out as much in the picture as they do in reality.
