Sunny Sunday

We had a leisurely breakfast, did one or two household chores then went out for a walk in the sunshine late morning.  It was hot!!  The Pigeon Underground van has been taken away, so we’ll find out on Wednesday evening if it’s repairable or needs to be replaced.

The little sailing dinghies had obviously been out on the water and lots of the young sailors were sitting on the sea wall enjoying lunch and each other’s company.  There were quite a few people on the beach sunbathing, eating lunch, enjoying the water.  It was a lovely summer’s day.

After showers and a quick lunch we prepared a couple of dishes for the building’s AGM.  I thought it was at 4:30pm but it was actually 4pm, so I was quite surprised when the first people knocked on the door, especially as my little mini quiches hadn’t even made it into the oven.  Oops!!  The AGM over we had wine and nibbles and chat.  And so the day flew by.  After everyone left at around 6:30pm we tidied up, put the dishwasher on and retired to the sofa with a glass of wine.

As we walked up the driveway on our way out for our walk we saw a beautiful red Hibiscus in flower, complete with praying mantis perched on top.  It’s part of the blip.

Apologies, but I still haven’t had time to check in on journals.
