Sally Mair - Loving life

Grumpy Sunflower

This seemed appropriate as the anniversary of the invasion is now.

Our curate is one of a team driving out to the Ukraine this week as part of a group delivering vehicles to be used for medical examinations.

I was up early today as I was heading back south to Tirunelveli. It's been good to visit Bangalore but it has grown so much. The traffic is ridiculous, congestion everywhere. It took me the best part of 2 hours on Thursday to drive the 35 km from the airport and that is driving around Bangalore, not through. Today, being Sunday the roads were a little quieter and it took just under an hour.

My blip was taken on the way to the airport, Its spotted this field on Thursday just after Its arrived so asked the driver to keep an eye out for it. We're going a different route he said with confidence. Mr Google and I were not convinced and sure enough we came to the field. Lots of poele were doing to take pictures. It's a little part it's best but still worth a blip. Is it just me or does the centre front flower head look a bit grumpy?

the extra was also on the way to the airport, we were driving throb a local village when a troop of monkeys (macaques) shot across the road and up onto the balcony of this building, the dog came down the stairs extremely quickly! There are around half a dozen monkeys in the rubber plant, but the only one clearly visible (it was taken from a moving car) is the one at ground level.

Bangalore is, not surprisingly, a very modern airport, a wide range of shops including Hamleys and Accessorise. My favourite was the posh coffee shop where I hoovered up a Danish pastry with Blueberries and not a chilli in sight, delicious! The flight was on time and all went smoothly. I'm back in Tirunelveli for the next week.
