Ella Marie Hætta Isaksen

I admire the Sami artist Ella Marie Hætta Isaksen, one of the activists blocking the entrance of seven ministries. 

In October 2021, the Supreme Court of Norway declared that  Wind Farms built on the Fosen Peninsula in central Norway violated the rights of Sámi reindeer herders, guaranteed under the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, and that their licenses are void. The activists demand the wind farm removed, the government has used over 500 days to find another solution. 

The activists are winning the media "battle" and people's sympathy. Supporters come with food, blankets, warm drinks and encouragement.  

The activists are holding stand for the sixth day.
