It's been this sort of day today - listening to the latest ignorant brutalities from banal, smug little monsters like Michael Gove, Gideon Osbourne and Jeremy Hunt and the racist, homophobic Little Englanders of UKIP and the Tory grassroots....on the other hand there have been little glimmers of this kind of day and this version of England too.
