Getting the sparkle back

Law

This is one of a series of murals by Stephen Broadbent at the Traverse Theatre in Saltire Court. The series depicts Edinburgh's professions and trades and this one is supposedly of Law, although you could have fooled me.

I was here with JMc to see The Revelations of Rab McVie, described as "an immersive journey through a psychedelic dreamscape of live painting, live music and theatre". It was amazing, almost impossible to describe and one of the most memorable pieces of theatre I've ever seen. What transfixed me was the live painting - the artist, Maria Rud, painted a constantly changing scene on a piece of glass which was projected onto a large screen which formed a backdrop to the music by The Filthy Tongues and the actor Tam Dean Burn.
