Icebergs!

Today, we called at Neko Harbour this morning, where we decided not to participate in the "wet landing" from the Zodiacs to shore, as we were told it was very slippery on the ice, and I really really didn't want to fall!  Besides, it was snowing and gray and the weather was closing in, so we spent the morning up in the observation lounge, watching porpoising penguins and spouting whales.

This afternoon, we repositioned to Skontorp Cove, where we went out in the Zodiacs and sailed among the impressive icebergs (giving them a respectful distance in case they decided to roll).  Here is our beautiful ship, the Silver Cloud oblingingly posed between two bergs.

Tomorrow we head to the South Shetland Islands where no doubt new adventures await!
