The innards of the dogfish

The Mnemonic that I mentioned  yesterday is an aid to help remember the names of the twelve cranial nerves of vertebrates; the  I. Olfactory II. Optic III. Oculomotor IV. Trochlear V. Trigeminal VI. Abducens VII. Facial VIII. Auditory (Vestibulocochlear) IX. Glossopharyngeal X. Vagus XI. Spinal Accessory XII. Hypoglossal.

The mnemonic was  probably invented by human anatomists but applies to all vertebrates, including the dogfish which I last dissected in 1965!
