We Only Went And Done It!

Yeovil fans celebrate as skipper Jamie MacAllister lifts the play-off trophy at Wembley this afternoon after beating Brentford 2-1 to get promotion to the Championship.

It has to be said that Brentford were the more fluent passing team and played the better football, especially in the second half when we couldn't string two passes together, but we took our chances well and defended heroically under persistent pressure throughout the second half in pretty hot conditions. The tension was unbearable, particularly in the 6 mi nutes of added time, but somehow we kept them out and joy unbounded followed the final whistle.

Fantastic achievement for such a little club.
