Crossens Canoe

This canoe was excavated from Martin Mere  in 1899. It has been carbon dated to AD535.

It is displayed in The Atkinson in Southport. I find stuff like this quite remarkable.

I don't usually blip in portrait, but I wanted to capture it along with the setting. 

I took this from the glass lift. 

Then we went to an Italian restaurant for dinner. It was delicious and the other diners made for good people watching!
