Spring Is Here

Spring is trying very hard to arrive and bringing insects along with it. This is the first gollywhopper I’ve seen this season. At least that’s what I call these oversized mosquito-looking creatures. Including the legs, this one was about 3”. It’s also known as crane fly, mosquito hawk, mosquito eater or gallinipper.

This guy must have been tired. He stayed on the glass door all day.
