Copley Viaduct (and a garden visitor)

FRIDAY

According to Fitbit, I only managed four hours sleep last night but it didn't deter me from a 7 km run this morning.

The run took me down through North Dean Woods, along the Calder and Hebble Navigation towpath to Salterhebble Basin and home and via Clay House and the Blackburn Valley bottom.

The main photo shows the Copley Viaduct which crosses the river Calder and the canal.  It consists of 21 arches at a height of 20 m and was built for the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway in 1852.

The extra shows a roe deer in the back garden. He is becoming a regular visitor - we have caught him on CCTV on three separate days this week and I also saw him in the neighbours' garden yesterday.
