Diglis Basin

We knew the river had been running pretty high over the last couple of days so we took a wander down this morning to see the extent of the flooding.   There are some parts of the riverside path that are impassable, but the flooding is not much compared to last time (see extras).

As we walked up to the canal basin we spotted a heron, standing very still by the waterside.  A perfect photo opportunity,  we being far enough away to not cause a threat.  It moved about a bit but didn't enter the water and finally took off....after I had taken one or two pictures!

After lunch, incidentally I still can't enjoy, by tasting, my food, we drove over to Worcester Woods Country Park where we sat outside with a coffee before taking a little walk through the woods.
