Not the blip I thought you'd be getting.... 

Today was the fifth attempt (first physical attempt) to install our new woodburner.

The fitters spent a while and then the almost inevitable "we've hit a snag".... Apparently our roof joists don't go the way their (now not trading) ex-boss had designed the system for. Which is odd as the roof beams go the way all roof beams do, the only way they can in fact go....
They could get round it with some ugly internal changes of angle... Erm no... OK we could... go through the wall... oh you mean exactly like I first asked the company to do.... So they're coming back next week. 
Sigh said I, "how much more will this cost?" ... "It'll probably be cheaper Guv" came the reply (thought I've almost certainly added the Guv). 
Slim silver lining. 

Rest of day lost to course prep for the weekend, and designing teaching aids for an assessment I've got next week.
