Seal Ears

Pile driving was completed this morning so our Seal Ear Protection Campaign is over as well. Before pile driving started, a special plane flew over to spot remaining Seals or Porpoises in the neighbourhood. They couldn't find a living thing, so apparently our pinger worked fine. Sound Measuring Vessel Friendship's job is also over now and they left location for Terschelling. Before leaving they made a fly by which also showed the difference in size between their vessel and the Thialf. The picture was taken in the early morning hours facing the sun, so the quality is not too good.
