Someone found the light switch

After yesterday finding the crypt in darkness yesterday I was pleased to see the someone had remembered to turn on the lights today.

I had a wander around The Triforium Gallery in the Cathedral. It houses precious artworks including the Shaftesbury Bowl, the only surviving example of late Saxon glass in England. I also took another look at the Winchester Bible. It is the largest and finest of all surviving 12th-century English bibles. A single person wrote out its text covering 936 pages in Latin.

The floor of the crypt around the sculpture has no surface water but the patterns on the floor show it is still damp.
