Golden pheasant

A person in our village has several stalls with egg-laying birds. Whether he has them only for the eggs or also for the eye, I don't know. Perhaps I should ask him (a bit tricky, he speaks dialect fluently).
One of the birds is this golden pheasant (Chrysolophus pictus). Normally taking a picture is hard. But today he was courting a hen. She was unsympathetic, so he had to try hard. The human and dog distracted him, so he had to get closer in order to see our desire.
That gave me the possibility to take this photo.
