Oreo Egg Brownies

Creme egg brownies have become something of a tradition for J, so I was not impressed when Tesco first announced the packs of five were out of stock, forcing me to order a pack of ten instead, and then on the day of the delivery substituted ten Oreo eggs for the excessively large pack of creme ones. However, we thought they would work and today, having eaten most of the hot cross buns, it was time to bake. The Oreo eggs proved much easier to cut in half than creme ones, so the result was less messy than usual but still pleasingly squidgy, though too sickly-sweet for me. I've done a few plain brownies too, which I'll enjoy more.
