On the beach near Southport ...

... including some of Anthony Gormley's figure sculptures.

The early comments below surprised me - I was unaware of the animosity towards the figures. 

Indeed, I had no idea who is depicted in the sculptures (whether they are based on the artist himself or someone else). I did a quick search on Blipfoto which revealed quite a lot of blips associated with his sculptures.
