Bee-Fly

I did a bit of work in the garden today, mostly tidying up and edging the lawn. When the bee-flies first appeared they were a bit dopey, so I managed to get a few photos of them on my grape hyacinths. They are great pollinators, although their larvae are parasitic, eating bee larvae. It felt nice in the sun, but the temperature in North Norfolk is still only 10C. I made several calls today to get quotes for work needed. I’ve got an appointment for a quote for a new window for the garage (the wooden one is rotting); another for a new blind in the bathroom (broken) and for an awning; plus I’m waiting for a call back to get brickwork in the garden replaced that’s been frost damaged.
