At last!

I had almost given up hope that this amaryllis would ever produce any flowers. For weeks and weeks there was no sign of any growth at all and then suddenly there was the tiniest tip of a green bud appearing.

Stem one then grew quite quickly with number two a few inches shorter. Stem one produced 4 flowers while stem 2 grew about an inch taller than the first but as of today only one of the four flowers has opened.

A fine walk in Pollok this morning ..... rather windy but much sunnier than expected.
