Thieves

We had a lovely country dancing session this morning, the last at Claremont until Autumn.  We are a fairly small but very keen group of dancers, and Aileen laid on some snacks for us as it was the last day, much appreciated.  We also presented Aileen with a cheque for all her calling, she has done a good job.

It has turned very cold.  Bob wanted to get a new bird feeder for our neighbour, who is complaining she doesn't see many birds, and he has purchased better bird food for her, so hopefully she will be a bit luckier.

We went down to Rouken Glen so that he could make his purchases, and I took advantage of it to walk from the centre up to the pond and around it a couple of times, to get some steps up as I was a bit lazy over the weekend.  It was quite cold but fine when walking, and I was lucky enough to just miss the rain.  Had a nice warming drink in the cafe when I met up with Bob.

Something (we think maybe a squirrel) has managed to remove the metal top of our bird feeder, and not only that, we can't find it anywhere.  The result is that the pigeons can access the food, and they have been lining up to take it in turns, as you can see in the photo.  We really do not want to feed the pigeons in this way although they are welcome to pick up the bits of food which fall on the ground when the little ones are eating.  So Bob has now fixed it and we should have no more trouble, hopefully.  Made a blip though!
