La Tremblade

Mono Monday’s theme of France sends me into a nostalgic journey through our family holidays in this beautiful country - mostly spent in tents or mobile homes courtesy of Eurocamp, with the occasional house-swap thrown in for good measure.  Our souvenirs are mostly memories or photographs, but there are a few physical objects that take me back to days of endless sunshine with our two then tiny boys.

My blip today is of a cornucopia shaped ceramic wall vase, purchased in a delightful little shop in La Tremblade. We’d arrived there on the “Train des Mouettes” steam train along the Seudre estuary, a treat for all three boys! - and  explored the old port and oyster beds by boat.

Meanwhile, back in the harsh reality of Monday, it’s yet another visit to the doctor. Antibiotic number two has clearly not impacted on this infection, so it’s onto a third option - with a referral for a kidney and bladder scan. I’m just hoping that this antibiotic will work; the scan will probably involve a six week wait…..

Thank you so much for your kind words, and thanks to Jensphotos for hosting!
