People on a Bridge

The Graduate

Megan is done with high school. Starting in the fall, she will be studying international business and finance as an undergraduate degree leading to law school. Or so she says today; she may change her mind, and I'll be all right with that, too.

Her parents threw a crawfish boil in her honor. A staple Louisiana institution, crawfish boils include large quantities of crawfish (known as crayfish in other parts of the world) boiled along potatoes, corn, and sausage in water with spicy seasoning. The said goods are consumed from paper trays or laid out on tables covered with newspaper, accompanied by ice-cold beer. It's all terribly messy and fun, and takes a long, long time.

Godspeed to you, young lady.
