Green

It’s always a pleasure to see my first Green Hairstreaks of the year - there were two in the bilberry patches at Moorside. First Willow Warblers too.

Later, I headed across town to Bradford (Park Avenue) for a rearranged National League North fixture against Alfreton. This was the last but one game of the season, and it remains likely that Avenue will be relegated, but they kept their very slim survival chances alive with a surprising 3-0 win. Now they just have to beat the league leaders on Saturday and hope two other games go their way…

And Avenue play in green too.
