First egg

There's the first egg today. The boring "sit-in" begins.  I can only hope that the female experiences this as a kind of fulfillment, a circumstance which is as it should be.

But I would still love to send her a couple good murder mysteries as audio books. It looks at times SO dull and boring.  The male is never there, nor are there any other creatures to keep her company. Where are they?

Luckily I can see that the ice is giving way, and they can probably catch some fish from nearby very soon.
