Another Medieval Hilltop Village

We took the funivia (cable car) to the medieval hill town of Erice. We wandered the winding cobbled streets, church bells tolled at one of the 6 churches in this small town. Fortress walls, tall towers and plenty of shops selling colorful ceramics, arancini…food and tchockes of all kinds. We had lunch at Trattoria da Mario, tucked in a side street somewhere. Mike is working his way through tasting the Sicilian beers. Walking along the city walls offers numerous panoramic views of the Tyrhennian Sea and Trapani below.
