Magnet Fishing

Spent the aftenoon walking around the boating lake and spotted this lady magnet fishing.  Natalie was happy to share all her knowledge and let me see what she had dragged back up from the depths of the lake.  I was surprised to hear that there weren't really any rules and regs for this other that where you can do it.  Private land is out of bounds.  I had quite a few questions but was really interested in the kinds of things that she has found in the past.  Todays haul consisted of an aged knife, a few cans, coins and length of chain, two fishing rod rests and several hooks and whilst we were there she pulled up an old Motorolla two way radio!!   So did these things fall in or were they deliberately dumped in the hope of never being rediscoved.  I have to admit to being mesmerised.
