One of a pair

I spent the morning sweeping the back deck and tidying the planters. The almost non stop (at least that's how it feels) rain since the end of January has discouraged much time getting rid of fallen leaves and other tasks.

I was about to pause and have lunch when two Kereru flew into the lower branches of a young Kauri (I guess about 150 years old). Brought out the Pentax and was gifted a chance to take my time taking some photos of one Kereru. The other was always behind leaves, even when they relocated briefly before flying away. With the bird being backlit, focus was a little difficult.

Much better seen large
