The party’s over?

So the Coronation weekend has come to an end. I have enjoyed watching the spectacle; been troubled by the use of new police powers in England, the exercise of which seems to run counter to the values of British society and freedoms being espoused; enjoyed the coronation concert and been very impressed by the drone displays.

Would a drone display be a more environmentally friendly alternative to the fireworks at the end of the Edinburgh festival? It would probably be too windy on the night!

Our son did receive an email the other week saying he could apply for tickets for the concert but by the time he accessed the link they had all gone. More comfortable and less expensive watching the concert at home - but it would have been an occasion.

Today was wet and grey until late afternoon and any thought f volunteering was on hold. The tooth issues are manageable with strong painkillers but I was not bouncing around desperate to get out and about. So I tidied up bits of the garden and some litter instead. Dentist appointment tomorrow.

The candle was out as yesterday we had a second power cut in 2 days. Fortunately yesterday’s was just a few minutes long.

Tonight’s build up to Eurovision suggests that the party is not over yet! As long as the power stays on.
