Flying Practice

After having a walk with sis in Pollok Park I nipped into Maxwell Park to check on th family life on the pond. Earlier in the week I thought I had spied a female Tuftie sitting on a nest but the brightness of the sun made it difficult to see the part of the island where I spotted Mrs Tuftie.

The heron was keeping a very careful watch on Mrs Mallard and her seven wee ducklings that were keeping very close to the reeds.

The two young swans have really settled in the pond and are happy to share with the Moorhens and Mallards. I heard the noise generated by their wings before I saw them and unfortunately I didn't have time to change the settings on th camera.
