Fishing in the cabin

This is the kind of day it was. Inside. Rain all day. Not much happened. So we played a lot, sat around, had coffee, ate, took short walks. No great photos either. But it's a chance to blip the dory we bought from a woodwork artist in Newfoundland years ago. The kids all loved to play with it and Fiona has put extra "guys" in it to help catch the cod fish. And then the guys go to the dock and have a sleep. Entertained her a lot.(thank goodness!)
The other good part of the day was the apple pie I made! (yes, I'd rather bake a fruit pie than cook anything else)
They are on their way home now and we await the report of the highway detour (due to the broken bridge on I5) going south on this US holiday.
H and I will enjoy some quiet days now! :-)
