Canal Ride

We met up with friends at 11am in Maisefield, Gloucestershire, to start a flat easy scenic cycle ride into Gloucester Quays and along the Gloucestershire and Sharpness canal to The Ship & Pilot in Hardwicke. It was a pleasant fifteen miles.

Along the canal were hundreds of fisherman in a competition using a pole rather than a normal fishing rod, something I've not seen before. We turned around at The Pilot pub and retraced the route into The Quays where we sat outside at Wetherspoons for coffee.

We were home by 3pm where Mrs BB and I enjoyed a couple of hours in the sun in our rear garden. It's been a busy but enjoyable weekend.
