Elegant Trogan

I’m posting earlier than usual because I was delighted and excited to have photographed this Elegant Trogan in Madera Canyon this morning. These birds are prized captures. In the U.S., they can only be found in our Sky Islands (the mountains of SE Arizona). They are native to Mexico and Central America.
