Friendly Kookaburra

The day started out as a hiking day, and we journeyed to the Wonderland car-park to the Grampians version of the Grand Canyon. Next we tackled the Turret Falls which was a longer hike through various rock formations, wild flowers, rock pools, and magnificent views.

At the end of the hike it looked like it was going to be a landscape for today's blip, but lunch time provided us with more material in the form of a huge group of wallabies.

Then it was back home to work on our blip for the day, and the kookaburra family of three was waiting on our doorstep.

Paladian grabbed some bacon that was going to be our breakfast for tomorrow, and I grabbed her camera with the long lens and started shooting. Took many shots in fading light and this particular one of the kookaburra with a piece of bacon in his mouth was most appealing.

Ha ha ha,ho, ho ho.
