I had to take this quickly as the policeman in the middle was paying me too much attention for my liking. This is the new Scottish police force - no more Lothian and Borders - and presumably they were there to ensure the small demonstration that was going on behind me didn't get out of hand. If you look closely at the window you can perhaps make out the reflection of the demo. It was a small but vociferous Unite union dispute about Blacklisting at Crossrail apparently.

What intrigues me about this is that there are three policemen and only two bikes. Perhaps someone has nicked the other one...
