I had an uncharacteristic lack of enthusiasm when my alarm went off this morning, but as soon as I had cycled over the river at the New Bridge, and before I had ducked beneath the most Southern arch of the Town Bridge I encountered these chirpy paper birds hanging in a Ceanothus in the public space on the right bank of the river. What joy! I knew I was already late for work but these little paper birds so lifted my spirits that I couldn't have cared less about being a little later.
I was only 5 minutes late and nobody cared because nobody cares.
Back home this evening and there's some very positive, life-affirming stuff going on. Good!
