Mother of Thyme

The Noness road is a mile from the house and in the next mile to the end of the road today I came across 16 different wild flowers.

Bird's Foot Trefoil, Campion, Changing Forget-me-not, Creeping Buttercup, Cuckoo Flower,  Daisy, Dog Violet, Kidney Vetch (extra), Marsh Marigold, Mother of Thyme, Mouse Eared Chickweed, Primrose, Sea Campion, Spring Squill, Thrift and Tormentil. I'm always amazed by the variety on this very exposed piece of road.

The most unusual thing I saw however was a hedgehog in a wide open field in the sun which for here at this time of year and time of day is very unusual.
