DIETES grandifloa

I saw this flower while waiting for Angus at the vet. My research tells me, it is
called by a variety of names:

Fortnight Lily
Fairy Iris
Wood Iris
Butterfly Iris,

which is why the Latin name,
DIETES grandiflora is the best way to identify it.

This large drought tolerant member of the IRIS family, is native to South Africa.
It is easy to grow, is pest & disease tolerant & thrive in full sun. It symbolizes GOOD FORTUNE.

The flowers are beautiful, but the plant is messy, which might be why they consider it a weed in Australia.
