Nature At Work

The kiwi is beginning to set fruit! It looks like we’ll have an amazing crop this year—there are tons of flowers. The white petals turn orange before they fall; the patio is covered with them. I’m trying to figure out what happens next—somehow the flower becomes the fruit. I’ll try to take photos of the next stages. They won’t be ripe til about November, so they still have a lot of work to do. The pink flowers at the bottom are alstromeria.
