Jasper

For as long as I could remember I have wanted a ginger cat called Jasper. The first thing I did after my husband downgraded me (ironically for a ginger) was get a kitten.

Jasper is 4 years old now and has very much been a part of my healing process. He’s becoming more of a lap cat as he gets older but it’s still very much on his terms. He doesn’t like the teenager!

He’s pretty feral at times as well. Despite being neutered he still likes to fight and is definitely a hunter. We’ve had pigeons, starlings, mice and frogs in the house. He likes to play with them before he kills them as well so I think he’s a bit of a sadist too!

Too hot to do much today. Teenager spending the night with her dad so I had Chinese takeaway. Haven’t had one in a long time so it was a nice treat.

Back to work tomorrow, but it will be quiet at least. Exams are over so I have a few weeks to vaguely relax before the summer holidays.

Need to psyche myself up for next weekend. Off to a festival with my aunt. I know I’ll enjoy it but I’m still nervous about being out and about and having to socialise with people.
