Another Day

A feast

Cooler this morning and as I was awake early I headed over the back for half an hour of hunting.

Lots of meadow browns and ringlets but no sign of any marbled white butterflies.  However there were lots of hoverflies and quite a few of them mobbing any butterflies that got in their way.  This meadow brown stuck it out quite forcibly.

Pilates after breakfast and this afternoon I have hacked down a winter damaged Choisia.  It was getting too big for the space it was in, so I hope it will recover and I can keep it trimmed to a more sensible size.

We enjoyed watching Elton John last night.
