Quite a selection of birds on the lake today including the rare addition of a pair of swans. I don't think these are last year's pair - the colouring is different.

I'd forgotten just how wide their wingspan is - every single shot of any worth has clipped the wings - except one, which clipped off the head. Sigh.

Some time in the sun in the garden after getting home - taking down the 'temporary' reed screening behind the growing privet hedge at the back.

Settled down to watch the rest of the Case Histories episode that we'd failed to complete when iPlayer died on us the other evening.
