Watching the Horses

The fun just keeps coming this half term!!
Today we went to the North Bucks Country Show with Mrs Z and Mr K. It was fab!
It was the perfect day for it - although I do look like a bit like a panda now as I got a teeny bit sunburnt before I put on the factor 50!
The show was lovely and old fashioned: There were sheepdog trials - first of all with sheep and then the dogs herded geese round Miss E and other children in the ring. She loved it!!
We watched sheep shearing and car cramming, went inside an ambulance and the kids did CPR on one dummy and took all the organs out of another.
We had hog roast and fish and chips and candy floss and doughnuts, the children played for ages on toy tractors and tossed hay all over themselves.
They went inside a police car and turned the lights on and off. They went on the bouncy castle and slide and they stroked the hounds.
A great day!
They both fell asleep on the way home and were in bed by 5pm! They are a filthy pair of urchins and will be going in the bath as soon as they wake up!!
Actually Miss E did come out of her room at about 7pm and cheerfully called "Morning Mummy!". She went back in without a murmur when I told her it was still night time!!
